The college is located in the historic Town Hall building in the heart of Rathmines and in two period houses at 28/29 Leinster Road.
Rathmines College has a proud tradition of providing education to the highest standard in a student centred environment. Our aim is to provide quality courses which will prepare our students for the future demands of the communities in which they live and work.
The College recognises the need for ongoing growth and development in order to meet the changing needs of our students. In this era of lifelong learning we are committed to responding to the needs of both school leavers and adults returning to education from diverse backgrounds and educational experiences.
Course Directors administer and co-ordinate the various courses at Rathmines College. Each Director is available to students and parents to advise and consult on personal and academic matters.
Guidance and Counselling
A professional Guidance and Counselling service is available to all College students. Those who wish to seek information or discuss career paths are encouraged to meet with the Guidance Counsellor. Personal counselling is also available. As an additional support the College may avail of the CDVEC Psychological service to further assist students with particular needs.
Career talks are organised on an ongoing basis.
In preparation for work experience, lectures are arranged to advise students on job search procedures, preparation of CVs and general interview techniques.
The College supports a representative student council which organises social, cultural and sporting events. It works with management and staff to ensure the experience of students at Rathmines College is both positive and rewarding.
Library with computers, internet access and study facilities is available to all students. Students may also avail of supervised evening study. Seminars on study skills are organised during each academic year. Student canteen available.

Language Training Facilities
The College has a dedicated language training laboratory. This multimedia facility enables interactive training in the target language as well as satellite access to European television channels.
Radio Studio & Darkroom
The college has a state-of-the-art radio studio and a modern darkroom. In addition to these facilities students have access to PCs at various points throughout the College for project work etc.
Computers: Pentium V, 2 GHz, Multimedia PCs Printers: Laserjet and Deskjet (b/w and colour) Scanners: Scanbed flatbed colour scanners.
Training is provided to students in the following up-to-date software:
Operating Systems: Windows XP, Business Software: Microsoft Office XP (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), Payroll-Quickpay, On-line Typing Tutorial. Desktop Publishing: Microsoft Publisher 2000 Computerised Accounts: Tas Books for Windows. G.P. Clinical - Medical Software.
Web Authoring: Microsoft Frontpage 2000 Communications Software: Internet Explorer and Outlook Express. The College is connected to the Internet and has its own email address and Web Site.
